About Mandal

Established in the year 1969, the Mandal has been serving the sacred cause of education in the remote, mofisil part of the State of Maharashtra. Though the jurisdiction of the Mandal is entire Maharashtra, it has concentrated on the Shahada Tahasil of the State and this tahasil is 450 kilometers away from the state capital (Mumbai), adjoining the confluence of Gujarat to the North side and Madhya Pradesh to the East.

This area is mainly populated with the economically socially backward, poor peasants & the landless adivasis. To educate the young generation of such poor section of society. The Mandal has the privilege to run Colleges of Arts, Commerce, Science, Education, Engineering streams and Polytechnic, Industrial Training Center, Pharmacy are the other units which the Mandal conducts.

The students have an opportunity to secure degrees like M.Phil. and Ph.D. in various subjects, B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., M.A., M.Com., M.Sc., B.E., B.Ed., B.Pharm., B.Sc. (Agri.) etc.

Our Institute

P. S. G. V. P. Mandal SIP Arts, GBP Science and STKVS Commerce College was established in the year 1970 by Honorable Sahakar Maharshi Shri. Annasaheb P. K. Patil with the objective to educate, motivate and uplift the vocational skills of young generation of peasants and the landless workers. This helps to upgrade the quality educational facilities in almost all the disciplines. The college has an honor of “College with Potential for Excellence” status by University Grants Commission, New Delhi and ‘A’ grade by North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.

The College is a premier academic institution in this region, located in 200 acres sprawling campus absolutely serene such that a student automatically turns himself to learning with full concentration and devoid of diversions.

The College provides for instruction in various under-graduate and post-graduate courses in the faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce. The college began with few students. Today 2200 students registered for various UG and PG courses in the faculties of the Arts, Science and Commerce. The teaching faculty consists of 52 learned faculty members and experts in their own subject discharging their duties with a sense of dedication and devotion.

Our Mission

Majority students enrolled in this College are from the socially and economically backward adivasi-tribal population as well as extremely poor families of farmers and landless peasants. For years together, not a single member of such families has been formally educated. The admitted students in this College, therefore, have several difficulties to comprehend multi-disciplines in the faculties of Arts, Mental-Moral-Social Sciences & Commerce as well as of Science. As the majority students of the tribal families have absolutely zero academic background, to educate such students is a big challenge and the teaching faculty of the college has to confront it with all its might – intellectual, mental and physical.

To serve the noble cause of spreading higher education in the area of economically and socially backward population and where the adivasi, tribal inhabit in majority.

Student Welfare and National Service Scheme unit of North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon has awarded “Best Unit Award” to the N SS Unit of our college.
• Best Magazine Award:
Our College Magazine ‘CHETANA’ received Best Presentation, Best Research Article in Hindi (Ist prize) and Best Research Article in English (Ist and IInd prize) from North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.
